Why LinkedIn Should Be Part of Your Marketing Strategy

LinkedIn is fast approaching 300 million users worldwide and is growing by 2 members ever second. With that kind of growth it won’t be long before it catches up with some of the biggest social media platforms on the planet. That makes LinkedIn one of the most important networks for any professional to join.

With over 64% of all corporate website traffic via social media coming from LinkedIn, it’s the place for business people to be. If you don’t have a LinkedIn account already then you need to get one ASAP. Once you do this it isn’t hard to build your profile and become known as an authority on LinkedIn.

You become an authority by joining a few of their professional networking groups. This gives you the ability to network with those who will be most interested in your services. Networking gives you the ability to build great relationships with other professionals that will benefit you for years to come.

There’s one more really good reason to get involved with LinkedIn; content marketing is about to become a big part of their growing platform. LinkedIn has essentially given its users their own on-site blogging platform. Imagine creating a blog and having it spread across the world’s largest social media network for professionals. That takes a huge amount of work out of the equation. Creating good content is one thing, getting out and in front of a captive audience is another.

Of course if it all seems like too much work, you could always hire a social media consultant to help you. Good consultants know how to create good content and keep all of your profiles up-to-date.
