Now more than ever you have to be very careful about what you say. The vast majority of people who engage in social media are beginning to realize that it has a down side. What was once a fun way to connect people across the world has become one of the biggest tools used by attorneys around the world!

This is one of the main reasons that you must be very cautious about the content that is posted to your business sites. If you have a social media manager handling that side of things for you, make sure they know what they are doing. As the owner of these sites, you will be liable for the content that is posted there.

Fear of litigation is one of the biggest concerns for business owners who use social media platforms. It’s just too easy for people to vent on social media, regardless of whether or not those claims are true. Is it any wonder that lots of business owners are becoming increasingly disillusioned with social media? 


Competition is now very steep and any business that doesn't provide their customers with a good experience will pay the price. So what can you do about it?

·       Don’t make claims or promises that you can’t keep
·       Know what is being posted to your sites
·       If you get a complaint don’t ignore it, respond to it in a timely manner
·       Provide your customers with quality content so they will stick around
·       Stay focused on building your brand and your reputation
